This morning, Worldline announced the creation of a joint venture with Banca Nazionale del Lavoro (BNL) via its acquisition of Axepta Italy. We believe this move will offer a glimpse of a direct confrontation between Worldline and Nexi in Italy and, ultimately, what is ahead of the two European payment mastodons in DACH and the rest of Europe.
