What you need to know:
• Kobo released an additional eight holes targeting Road Cut and Jagger, expanding mineralization along strike and at depth with strong grades.
• Road Cut Zone drilling outlined continuity of mineralization, returning some of the highest grades to date.
• The Jagger Zone returned an impressive 75.29 g/t over 2m, while step-out drilling extended strike ~150m south.
• Kobo is 5,330m into the 10,000-15,000m planned for 2026, and a second rig is arriving in June to accelerate drilling ahead of an initial MRE in H2.
This morning, Kobo Resources (KRI:TSXV) reported eight new diamond drill holes in the Jagger and Road Cut zones at its 100%-owned Kossou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire. Drilling continues to expand high-grade mineralization along strike and at depth in multiple zones, including the southern extension of Jagger and the main shear system at Road Cut, with >42,000m (222 holes) now complete ahead of a maiden MRE expected later this year. We are maintaining our BUY rating and target price of $0.60/share on KRI.
Highlights
Road Cut Zone:
• KDD0154:
o 1.27 g/t Au over 5m (from 200m)
o 3.72 g/t Au over 1m (from 216m)
o 5.67 g/t Au over 7m (from 279m)
o 0.63 g/t Au over 8m (from 457m)
Jagger Zone:
• KDD0156:
o 3.89 g/t Au over 1m (from 75m)
o 75.29 g/t Au over 2m (from 99m), incl. 150.0 g/t Au over 1m
• KDD0159:
o 1.23 g/t Au over 7m (from 286m)
o 1.09 g/t Au over 7m (from 298m)
o 1.14 g/t Au over 4m (from 327m)
• KDD0160:
o 1.27 g/t Au over 3m (from 271m)
o 0.65 g/t Au over 22m (from 279m), incl. 1.20 g/t Au over 7m
Drilling in the Road Cut Zone intercepted 5.67 g/t over 7m (KDD0154), ~125m below surface in the main shear system, highlighting continuity of strong grades. While the V2 vein set in the Jagger Zone delivered a standout 75.29 g/t over 2m, including 150 g/t over 1m (KDD0156). In addition, step out drilling south of the main Jagger Zone extended strike potential by ~150m, and outlined broad intervals of mineralization (KDD0160).
To date in 2026, 5,330m has been drilled across 22 holes, and the Company is targeting 10,000m to 15,000m this year, providing a steady cadence of further results ahead of the MRE. Ongoing work will focus on further expanding and defining the Jagger, Road Cut, and Kadie Zones, while continuing to evaluate additional targets across Kossou’s >9km prospective strike. Kobo plans to mobilize a second drill rig to the project in June to accelerate drilling ahead of the resource estimate. Metallurgical test work is ongoing on samples from both Jagger and Road Cut, along with district exploration to advance property-wide targets, which are primarily focused on the western side of the Kossou. The Company is also preparing for inaugural drilling at the Kotobi Permit in late June.
