What you need to know:
• Kobo announced drill results from the ongoing 2025 exploration campaign at its Kossou Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire.
• Seven holes were reported from the Jagger Zone which returned multiple high grade gold intercepts, including three holes over broad intervals of 20m+ (1.41 g/t Au over 20.0m & 1.14 g/t Au over 21.5m).
• The 2025 program will consist of between 20,000-30,000m of drilling.
This morning, Kobo Resources (KRI:TSXV) announced drill results from the 2025 diamond drill program at its 100% owned Kossou Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. All seven holes reported today are within the Jagger Zone and intersected broad zones of mineralization. Specifically, two holes intersected highlight intercepts of 1.41 g/t Au over 20.0m and 1.14 g/t Au over 21.5m. Drilling continues on site as part of the 20,000-30,000m 2025 exploration program. Management stated it remains on track to report a maiden resource estimate next year. We are maintaining our BUY rating and $0.55/share target price on KRI.
All seven holes reported in this release intersected multiple gold-bearing shear structures (see page 2 for the full drill highlights) and importantly, confirm broad zones of mineralization. The gold-bearing structures continue to be extended along strike and depth (Figure 1), with the zone growing from each drill hole. The cross sections in Figures 2 & 3 depict the N-S trending and steeply west-dipping orientation of the mineralization at the Jagger Zone. As mentioned previously, and confirmed today, the Jagger Zone occurs within a ~70m wide zone of shearing and is associated with the quartz feldspar porphyry and diorite intrusives within the basalts. This is part of an overall 200m wide deformation zone.
Highlights from the seven holes reported today include (full highlights on pg 2.):
• KDD0081: 2.13 g/t Au over 8.0m, including 7.0 g/t over 2.0m.
• KDD0082: 0.64 g/t Au over 30.0m, including 0.80 g/t over 10.25m and 1.9 g/t over 2.0m.
• KDD0084: 1.41 g/t Au over 8.0m, and 1.14 g/t Au over 21.5m, including 1.98 g/t over 4.0m, and 1.27 g/t Au over 4.0m, and 4.93 g/t over 1.5m.
• KDD0085: 1.41 g/t Au over 20.0m, including 3.70 g/t Au over 5.0m, including 8.47 g/t over 2.0m.
