Agreement will see companies collaborate on a fatigue and distraction solution
Companies: Seeing Machines Limited
Seeing Machines has announced the signing of a global distribution agreement with MiX Telematics as part of its strategic global Guardian partner programme.
The companies say they will collaborate on a fatigue and distraction solution that integrates Seeing Machines tech with MiX Telematics' fleet management and safety solutions.
As part of the agreement, MiX will also distribute and implement existing and future versions of the Guardian solution.
Broker finnCap said fatigue and distraction was a huge and growing issue for private drivers and fleets, especially with growing mobile functionality and dependency (see full report here):
"Telematics is vital for modern fleet management. Yet installing and subscribing for a number of different in-cab systems is difficult for fleet managers. Combining telematics and driver monitoring solutions in one device and from one supplier clearly makes sense, reducing cost and complexity."
Seeing Machines COO Paul Angelatos, said there was great potential for the relationship, with MiX well aligned to SEE's culture:
"By combining the best of both solutions, we are confident that we are positioned to deliver an unparalleled commercial and technical offering to the fleet transport industry. We not only see it as another vote of confidence in our solution but a genuine path to deliver volume connections and long-term value to our customers and shareholders."
Head of Sales at MiX, Wayne Fee, said working with Seeing Machines would enable his firm to further extend its offering in fleet and driver safety:
"Together we will deliver a solution that will have a positive impact on drivers, operators and the wider fleet transportation industry."
SEE's share price rose 4% early on Wednesday.
