The initial crop of players managed to return +31.5% as a group over the 12 months with little negative volatility and some big winners (WEY +1000%, IQE +270%, PURP +200%, and many others)...

Well done to the following winners of our £500 quarterly cash prizes:
- A £500 cash prize for the top performer over the Quarter
Well done to Martin (username) who wins our £500 cash prize for the standout performer in Q4. His Versarien Pick rose a massive 360% from mid-November. His rationale was:
"Leading small cap in the exciting materials field of graphene. Owns the spin-outs from Cambridge Uni (inks) and Manchester Uni (materials). Leader in the field"
- A £500 cash prize for the top Year-to-Date/ITD performer at Quarter-end
- The other £500 cash payout this quarter goes to Burgundy-Footrest (username) who has dominated on a Year-to-date basis thanks largely to his early backing of WEY.

I've maintained faith in MicroFocus as my Safe Pick and swapped out Purplebricks in favour of Eve Sleep for my Adventurous Pick. EVE is experiencing impressive top-line growth and disrupting a fairly sleepy product segment (can't help the bad pun!).

After 12 months the combined performance, as a portfolio, of all the 61 safe and 61 speculative picks is +31.5% from January to December 2017. This compares with a FTSE All Share that is up +8%.
The outperformance is +23.5% on the diversified portfolio with 62% winners and 38% loss-makers.
