Powerhouse has announced that National Hydrogen of Australia have established a project SPV, of which Powerhouse will hold 5%, to develop a project in the Rockingham Strategic Industrial Area near Perth. This will be a phased waste-to-energy project aiming to use two of Powerhouse’s Distributed Modular Generation (DMG) trains, processing 40tpd of waste. It appears that there is clear momentum behind the project as several key components, including land leasing, feedstock and power offtakes, are in place and this is a promising project for Powerhouse as they look to commercialise their DMG process.
