The consenting process at SIMEC Atlantis’ Uskmouth conversion project appears to have become more political with the Welsh Government having taken over what should be a technical permitting process. While the recent placing creates some breathing space for the company financially, the move clearly creates further uncertainty and delay in the conversion process.
