SIMEC Atlantis’ decision to move to a phased development approach at the Uskmouth conversion project removes the issue of planning uncertainty although the key environmental permitting decision remains with the Welsh Government. The move allows the company to focus on securing this which would allow the project to move ahead, taking its place as a key component in the South Wales Industrial Cluster.
