Yesterday the UK Government overturned a decision to refuse planning permission to frac for shale gas in Lancashire. Sajid Javid the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government ruled that Cuadrilla should be allowed to drill and frac up to four wells at Preston New Road (Little Plumpton) near Blackpool.
