Speaking to Proactive’s Andrew Scott, Sir Martin Sorrell, chairman of digital marketing and advertising group S4 Capital (LON:SFOR) and veteran of the industry, gave his assessment of the outlook for sector.
He said the current quarter would be a “bloodbath”, followed by a “recovery from a very low level”.
“Into Q4 and 2021 I think there will be some very interesting opportunities,” he added.
Sorrell said this while recognising the huge human cost of the COVID-19, which will, he said, inevitably change the way the world communicates and works.
