EQTEC has issued a corporate and funding update highlighting short-term liquidity pressure but also meaningful progress toward a structured solution with major shareholder Rebel Ion. Rebel Ion has agreed, in principle and subject to a successful equity raise, to acquire the Company’s two largest debt positions, convert the £0.7m loan into equity with a 12-month lock-up, and extend the £5.1m bullet loan to 2030. If completed, this would materially de-leverage the balance sheet and align the interests of a committed strategic investor with those of new shareholders. The package remains conditional, particularly on the equity raise, but if executed it would stabilise the capital structure and support EQTEC’s ability to move forward with its strategic plan.
